Artist, Landscape Architect, Arborist, Feng Shui Practitioner and Renegade
Shea has worked in the field of landscape architecture for nearly two decades. After receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Florida State University and later a Master’s of Landscape Architecture degree from Florida A&M, Shea started her career in the transportation industry working on large scale roadway projects that included teams of engineers, planners and government agencies.
This experience shaped Shea’s vision and awareness. Also, a lover of nature and a protector of natural systems, Shea saw that there was an enormous amount of conscious change that needed to happen before the design of our environments could truly incorporate the preservation and design of natural systems.
This is what sparked her to desire to work with conscious homeowners and business owner on an intimate scale.
In her own life’s journey, Shea came to several crossroads and saw the power that manifestation could have on one’s life; after starting her own design studio, this led her to the practice of Feng Shui. Incorporating an ancient tradition of design, based on nature’s cycles and natural elements was a logical fit to Shea’s design principles.
Shea is also keenly aware that homeowners have a strong desire to contribute to protecting Mother Nature’s living systems. By incorporating both Feng Shui and natural systems design principles, The Garden Republic brings a unique approach to designing for each homeowner’s specific needs, as well as connecting their gardens to the larger ecosystem.
